Five years of growth and progress under new ownership

Current owners, Steve Daves and Chuck Loving are proud to celebrate five years as the owners of R.W. Murray Co.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. – March 9, 2015 – Mr. Daves and Mr. Loving completed the 10-year succession plan/purchase of the company from former owner William Fairchild five years ago.

Since joining the firm in 1989, Mr. Daves has been involved in the management and construction of over 10 million square feet of shell building projects and 15 million square feet of tenant interior projects in the Washington metropolitan area while also mentoring the firm’s project management team.

With more than twenty 25-years of construction experience, Mr. Loving has managed over 4.5 million square feet of base building projects and over 5 million square feet of base building and tenant improvements in the Washington metropolitan area. Since joining R.W. Murray Co. in 1995, Mr. Loving’s efforts have been key to recruiting and training exceptional field superintendents.  His financial acumen has enabled the company to remain profitable despite changing market conditions.

In addition, Jonathan Barbour, LEEP AP, Vice President of Project Management, is also celebrating his first year as additional partner in the company this past month as well.  Since joining the firm in 2002, Mr. Barbour has managed over 2.5 million SF of base building and interior construction across the Washington metropolitan area. Proudly versatile, he has completed award-winning, class-A office buildings, bioscience labs, aircraft hangars, distribution/warehouses and sports facilities.
