L2T is a 22,438 SF full floor build-out located at Woodland Park II in Herndon, VA. R.W. Murray Co. was selected as the general contractor through a competitive bid process, with the award based on value engineering, resulting in significant savings to the Client with no impact on the quality of the finished product. A rapidly growing technology-based service provider of secure network and software solutions, L2T chose this space for their relocation as it laid the foundation for the highly efficient and productive work environment, which they desired.

The fourteen-week project commenced with the demolition of the majority of the existing space to a shell condition, selectively preserving large offices and bulkheads, which became an architecture feature of the finished product. The space is designed to make an impact on employees and guests, beginning with the elevator lobby with its imported tile floor and large glass suite entry, projecting modern tiles that are magnetically applied to the grid to enhance acoustical attention.

Larger offices were constructed around the exterior perimeter of the floor, with sidelights projecting natural lighting to the unusually large corridors. Holoform demountable glazing systems are used in multiple locations, including a faceted system on a curved wall at the lounge. In support of the Client’s mission, the space has a full back-up power system, with a UPS and diesel generator, multiple CRAC units in the server room an additional supplemental conditioning provided by a VRF system.
