Project Overview: Factoring in a resume with extensive experience in the concrete tilt-up industry and a long-standing partnership with Architect MGMA, R.W. Murray Co. was selected to complete the construction of Fundrise 395 in Springfield, VA.
Located less than 30 minutes from downtown Washington, D.C., this facility will serve as the premier distribution center inside the beltway. The 7.7-acre industrial property originally housed two older industrial buildings which were outdated and insufficient to meet today’s standards and were demolished to pave the way for the new industrial warehouse.
R.W. Murray Co.’s scope of work for this single-story, concrete tilt-up, 140,000 SF industrial warehouse included earthwork, utilities, paving, landscaping, concrete, masonry, structural steel, and light gauge framing, exterior and interior finishes, and MEP.
The interior layout features the typical structural bay spacing of 50′-0″ x 50′-0″ with a uniform of 20fx of high-bay LED lighting throughout. A rear loading dock features 37 overhead doors and single drive-in ramp. A dynamic exterior facade features strategically placed bump-outs and vibrant paint colors with form liners, breaking the mold of standard industrial structures.
