President
In his capacity as President, Steve is responsible for the overall management of the firm including strategic planning, operations, and the development and implementation of strategies which ensure efficiency, quality, exceptional service, and cost-effective management of resources. When necessary, he also serves as Project Executive, providing overall team leadership while also ensuring exceptional customer service. His duties include monitoring and directing the project management team throughout projects, overseeing the estimating, scheduling, cost control and analysis, as well as quality control, field supervision coordination, design coordination, contract negotiations and business development.
Experience
Steve brings 30 years of experience to the company, having served in various roles on projects throughout Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C. His shell building experience encompasses all types of construction including masonry, tilt-up concrete, and pre-fabricated metal buildings. His interior construction experience covers all aspects from commercial office to medical facilities and heavy industrial projects. Since joining R.W. Murray Co. in 1989, Steve has been instrumental in the management and construction of over 10 million square feet of shell building projects and 15 million square feet of interior projects in the Metro area.
