The 'Excellence in Construction' Awards are hosted annually by the Metropolitan Washington and Virginia Chapters of Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. (ABC). The awards were presented on September 14, 2017 at the Ritz Carlton in Tysons Corner.
Built from the ground up using tilt-up construction, this new 62,492 square foot flex warehouse is located on Port Royal Road in Springfield, Virginia, overlooking I-495. The structure boasts a unique architectural feature; panel liners covering the face of the building, which give the overall design a modern aesthetic. Sunshades and steel entrance canopies add to the modern design. The lush landscaping which surrounds the building completes the look.
R.W. Murray Co. Senior Project Manager, Dave Pierce, along with project Superintendent, Pete Elliot, worked closely with Scott Forstell, head architect with Bayview Architectural Group, to ensure the project was completed to the supreme satisfaction of our clients, and owners of the building, I-95 Business Parks Management. The facility is now available for use as tenant space.
President of R.W. Murray Co., Steve Daves, states, “These awards are excellent opportunities to honor our clients and to thank the Associated Builders and Contractors member companies who help us achieve high standards of excellence and customer service on all of our projects. We are once again honored to be recognized by our peers and accept this award from ABC for another successful project.”
