R. W. MURRAY CO. PARTICIPATES IN LIGHT THE NIGHT
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. -November 21, 2007 -- R. W. Murray Co., a privately-held general contracting firm located in Manassas, Virginia, participated in The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night, national walk event, as a corporate sponsor on Saturday, October 20 in downtown Manassas, Virginia raising just over $3,500 for the non-profit organization.
The group of employees and family members walked the three miles through downtown Manassas, Virginia with white t-shirts and their illuminated balloons behind a banner, donated by Graphic Services. The banner included the names of employee’s friends and family members that have either been fighting cancer or have passed from cancer.
“This was a terrific event. Not only were we joining our community to support a great cause, but it was a chance for our employees and their families to come together to commemorate lives that have been touched by this illness and to support one another,” said Chuck Loving, Vice President.
R. W. Murray Co. along with all of the other sponsors in Prince William County helped to raise over $150,000 for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
