R.W. Murray Co. Renovates Red Cross Chapter House

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. – December 15, 2009 -- R.W. Murray Co., a privately-held general contracting firm located in Manassas, Virginia, with the help of several local subcontractors, recently renovated and repaired the now former Prince William Red Cross Chapter house and returned to residential use.

More than a dozen R.W. Murray Co. employees assisted with renovations, painting and other finishing touches to make the home ready for new occupants the first of the year.  In addition to the hours donated by R.W. Murray Co. employees, several local subcontractors donated supplies and labor to restore the porch, repair ceilings, lay down new flooring, remove office wiring and shelving, as well as patch walls and paint.  These companies include Beckstrom Electric, Best Cabinets, Cronin Floors, Flooring Group, H&H Drywall, Home Kim, JP Construction and Thesis Painting.

“Not only are we proud of our employees for their commitment to excellence by volunteering for this cause, we are proud to work with such a wonderful group of subcontractors who also make time for charity work.  We couldn’t have done this project without them,” said Steve Daves, president of R.W. Murray Co.
