R.W. Murray Co. Wins Award from Local Real Estate Association
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. – November 30, 2009 -- R.W. Murray Co., a privately-held general contracting firm located in Manassas, Virginia, announced the recent receipt of the “2009 Best Building Renovation Award of Merit for 45360 Severn Way” from the Northern Virginia Chapter of NAIOP.
The project received this award for the complete façade renovation of this 140,000 SF pre-engineered metal building with masonry skin. The R.W. Murray Co. team added new full curtain walls with ribbon windows and an aluminum storefront entrance. An EIFS tower was added to create height and an aesthetically pleasing exterior, which is visible from the heavily traveled Rt. 28 corridor. The interior renovations included major structural modifications including a complete demolition of all interior walls, flooring and window openings, repositioning of stairwells and the addition of an elevator, as well as replacement of mechanical systems and core area renovations.
Additional team members included DVA Architects, Altus Realty Partners and ABEL Consulting Engineers, P.A.
