LEED ACCREDITED PROFESSIONALS
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA – June 3, 2009-- R. W. Murray Co., a privately-held general contracting firm located in Manassas, Virginia, announced today two new LEED Accredited Professionals (AP), for a total of 9 LEED AP’s on staff. Doug Meadows and Pete Elliot, project superintendents have each passed a rigorous exam to achieve their Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design accreditation. The exam incorporates knowledge of sustainability with the implementation of green building best practices.
Mr. Meadows has a 7-year tenure with R.W. Murray Co. and is a 2002 graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University’s Building Construction program. He was recently recognized as a certified Tilt-Up technician by the American Concrete Institute. Mr. Elliot has over 20 years of construction experience across the Washington, DC Metropolitan area with an extensive portfolio of large commercial office, industrial flex, retail and tenant renovation experience. He has been with the Company for 12 years.
