R. W. MURRAY CO. RECEIVES SAFETY EXCELLENCE AWARD

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. – May 22, 2009 -- R. W. Murray Co., a privately-held commercial general contracting firm , recently received the ABC Platinum Safety Training Evaluation Process (STEP) Award. The award was presented to R. W. Murray Co. for their commitment to safety for the year of 2008 at the Metro Washington Chapter’s Safety Awards luncheon held on Thursday May 21, 2009 at the University of Maryland’s Mulligan Grill.

The ABC STEP Award is an elite safety competition which awards companies for outstanding safety programs. Companies involved in the STEP process hope to advance through the bronze, silver, and gold levels of the program over the course of two-three years by meeting a progressive series of criteria. R. W. Murray Co. was presented the Gold STEP award in 1999 and 2000, the Platinum STEP award in 2001 through 2008.
